Import straight into accounting software
A CSV leaves you at the door of QuickBooks or Quicken; these formats walk in, with each transaction carrying an id so a re-import can't duplicate it.

| Columns | Trans Date · Post Date · Reference Number · Description · Credits · Charges |

| Dates | Two — transaction date and posting date |
| Sections | Payments · Purchases, Balance Transfers & Other Charges |
Wells Fargo keeps credits and charges in separate columns rather than using one signed column, so most rows leave one of the two blank. It is the only card issuer here that does it that way, and it makes summing spend straightforward — the charges column is already just spend.
What to check afterwards
Because credits and charges are separate and mostly empty, an amount can shift into the wrong one. Find a payment row: its figure belongs under Credits, and if it appears under Charges the two columns were merged.
Card statements carry no running balance, so the arithmetic check that verifies a bank statement cannot run here —why that matters. On scans and how nothing is uploaded: read the details.
